WHAT WE DO
We approach our hotel development and real estate projects from an owner’s perspective ONLY. We keep projects on budget and on time.
Navigating financing in today’s banking environment can be difficult. At United Development Solutions we can take the guess work out of the equation and take the lead in securing financing for our projects.
Raising the necessary equity for a project will define whether or not a project can move forward. At United Development Solutions we are very familiar with the need for capital and can assist projects with raising the necessary equity.
Whether its City, County, State, or Federal, there are approvals that need to be obtained. United Development Solutions will walk your project through the approval stages and insure smooth transitions through government interaction.
Although we are NOT general contractors, United Development Solutions has relationships with companies who have built dozens of hotels and mixed use projects.
We have relationships in place with architects who are experts in hotel, mixed use, and commercial projects. In many instances those relationships save projects tens of thousands of dollars.
Our attorney relationships will insure that the project documents are correct, well reviewed, and represent the best interests of all parties involved.
ABOUT THE OWNER
Troy Hoekstra, Ph.D.
Owner of United Development Solutions LLC
BA in Marketing/Management (Concordia University St.Paul)
MBA with a concentration in finance.
Ph.D. Concordia University Chicago
From 1992 until 2001 Troy worked for three (3) publicly traded companies in both management and executive roles. In his last role as an executive with a publicly-traded company he had 300 direct report employees, budget accountability of over $130 million annually, and managed 90 office locations in 18 different states.
In 2001 Troy left the public sector and started his own company which focused on business development, primarily in real estate. Since that time he has been involved in numerous real estate projects in the five-state area surrounding Minnesota. The total of these projects is in excess of $150 million.
Troy enjoys spending time with his family, boating on Lake Superior, flying a single engine Cessna, scuba diving, and investing time supporting JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). He is a recently retired firefighter from the volunteer department in Sartell MN.
