The Community and Economic Development Awards United Development Solutions

September 13, 2017 –The Community and Economic Development Awards (CEDA) program – presented by the Wisconsin Economic Development Association (WEDA) – recognizes United Development Solutions as one of the businesses making significant contributions to Wisconsin’s economy.

United Development Solutions, a St.Cloud based company, owned by Troy Hoekstra of Sartell, won the State of WI Community & Economic Development Award for Public Private Partnerships on September 14, 2017. The event was held in the main ballroom at the Edgewater Hotel in Madison WI with approximately 400 attendees present.

This project is an innovative $17.2 million partnership between the City of Platteville, United Development Solutions, and Southwest Community Action Program. The project is aimed at turning a declining area in a valuable community asset and includes a 72 room Holiday Inn Express, new 23,000 sq. ft. public library, and remodel of the former library into a Neighborhood Health Partners Clinic.
